The construction of Jin-Ji Motorway extension line has started. The related work of land acquisition, relocation of residents and compensation is underway.

Both ends of the extension line of the Jin-Ji Motorway are connected with Jing-Ping Motorway (in Beijing) and Jin-ji Motorway, passing through the Panshan mountain area. It connects Beijing and Tianjin with a total mileage of 15km and becomes another high-grade highway between the two cities. According to the plan, the extension road will be open to traffic in 2007.
