The fifth motorway of Xinjiang, Ku'erle-Kuche motorway (National Highway 314 in Xinjiang) is expected to start construction next year. It is also the fourth motorway project of Xinjiang that will be constructed making use of loans from world financial institutions.
The Ku-Ku motorway (totalling 296.5km) begins from Ku'erle, linking with He-Ku motorway which is under construction and ends in Kuche. It will be constructed to the four-lane standard motorway. The budgetary estimate of the project is 3.6 billion Yuan. 2 hundred billion dollars of the investment comes from Asian Development Bank, and other funds are national assistance and self-financing in China. Ku'erle-Kuche road is an important component of National Highway 314 and of national key roads construction plan in China. It goes to the middle and west Asia and to east Africa and Europe. Ku-Ku motorway will make for the formation of the trans-continental road between Asia and Europe.
