According to the Committee of Development and Reform of Ganzhou city, the Ganzhou section of Xiarong Highway(from xiamen to chengdu) has been approved by National Committee of Development and Reform and would been commenced construction in March this year.
With the total length of 246km, Ganzhou section of Xiarong Highway passing through eight counties namely Ruijin, Huichang, Yudu, Gan county, Zhanggong district, Nankang, Shangyou as well as Chongyi. The total budget for the programme is about 8.1 billion Yuan. Of which,the 31 km long project of  Yiling to Ruijin section will be constructed in March this year and be completed in 2007, the other 117 km long project of Ruijing to Ganzhou section will be build in July and be completed in 2007, the 98 km long project is scheduled to be commence construction in 2010.
